Last day of our trip so we didn’t start so early.
After checking out of the hotel, we left some chalk momento on a wall in the hotel specially allocated for this purpose.
Then it was off to breakfast.
Where: Sin Hup Aun
17 Jalan Pasar
George Town, Penang
This place is known for the mamak mee goreng.
The famous Jones Road Mamak mee goreng (or so the stall says). It’s pretty good so will trust their word 😀
We saw these poles outside a shop near the restaurant, quite sums up the feeling that the holiday is ending.
Next stop: Biscuit collection from Him Heang.
This is only SOME of our purchases… SC’s stuff is not even pictured!
And after we loaded the car, the boot was quite full.
Him Heang is usually one of the last stops you make when you’re in Penang. This is to ensure that you bring back freshly-baked biscuits.
After the massive biscuit collection (which came to some RM 500+ for 4 of us!!), we set off to have brunch with President and say our goodbyes for this trip.
Where: Genting Cafe
2 Lorong Delima 6 (at Lrg Delima 3)
Gelugor, Penang
The chee cheong fun with peanut butter mixed into the sauce. Really yummy!
Mua chee. The famous one from Gurney Drive. Eating this is seriously addictive.
And the ever-famous Penang dish, char kway teow!
We left Penang around 1.30pm and everyone reached home by 8.30pm!!! Massive jams in KL because we got caught in the after-work traffic.
It was a great trip, and we’re now in talks for another similar trip… to some other place.
End of Day 3.
